amongst the stars, you

  amongst the stars, you

                   with your shining blue hue

           no clouds can cover your light

         during the day, you rest

              and lean on the sky,

          his arms a velvet swing,

            the air a mist of joy.

         during the night, you scream,

   a scream of glistening softness,

               and let the birds rest

          on your warm embrace,

              while you, and only you,

           mimic their song—a lullaby—

               putting to sleep

          my wildest fears 

            and tamest dreams.
